So ezboard still hasn't given us a real answer, and I don't know if or when we'll get our threads back. But, I can fix some things temporarily. Thing is, we have so many forums as it is, that while we wait I don't want to make duplicates of all of them, rather use the ones that work. I replaced AGI since that event is so close and people need to plan now, if you guys feel a real need for me to replace any of the other forums shout out and I will make a temp forum for it.

The general...

Hey, i was wondering if anyone had any advice as to which torch would be good for a beginner flameworker. I've done flameworking for roughly two years, i guess, and am looking to buy my first torch. Unfortunately, my funds are rather depleted, so i'm looking for something that would be kind-of cheep, but something that will last a while. I love the double burners, but i have a feeling they may be too expensive. What should i check out? Any web sites? thanks guys.
Jamie

Have any of you ever built your own torch? I was working in the shop one day when a guy came in and bought some tubing. I asked him what type of torch he uses, and he told me that he built his own! Later on, I came across a website that offered plans for building your own torch. First kilns, now torches? Before long, a person could possibly make every item in his shop by himself! Well, except for the tanks, I would think.

Kimberly
When things are looking pretty...

I recently just received my new Phantom from Willy and Wally this week. This torch is awesome. I had the Mirage before and the Phantom definitely achieves the flames I wanted that the Mirage just did not have. I love the Mirage and think it is a great torch, but for what I am working on lately,(small marbles, small scent botlles, pendants, and jewelry) the Phantom better suits my needs.
